A new and a free addiction counselling service is now available in the Ruah Pastoral Centre. The Counsellor is professionally qualified and giving her time 'pro bono'. Anyone who would like to use the service can leave a note or message in the pastoral centre or Fr. Brendan's office or house with your contact number, and the counsellor will contact you to make a suitable appointment. There is a box in the Ruah Centre for unwanted used batteries. The proceeds from the recycling of these will go to the Laura Lynne Hospice and the Sunshine Home. Meals on Wheels –Six people prepare meals in the kitchen of the Community Centre from Tuesday to Friday. They are short of drivers to deliver the meals and are making an appeal for people who would be willing to give approximately one hour, one day each week. Please consider giving some time to this valuable work and contact Pat Roche at 4946825. We are also looking for a few more volunteers among the Eucharistic Ministers to take communion to people in their homes on Sundays. Please contact the parish office if you are willing to do this. The Dominican Justice Office invite you to a ‘Meditation on the Spirit of Trees’ on Saturday, 11th February from 11.00am-4.00pm in the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin. John Feehan, senior lecturer in Environmental Science at University College, Dublin will lead a workshop and look at practical ways in our efforts to bring about greater justice and peace in the world. Places are limited. To book a place, please email the Dominican Justice Office at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call 01-8754654.
