Child Safeguarding – Parish Volunteers
The parish has organised two information sessions on Child Safeguarding which will be held in the RUAH Centre on Tuesday 20th September from 7pm to 9pm and Thursday 20th October from 7pm to 9pm for all parish volunteers. The information sessions will be given by Garry Kehoe who is the Safeguarding Rep from the Archdiocese.
We must ensure that best practice is employed when it comes to creating a safe environment for all children, young people and vulnerable adults.
While many of us are aware of safeguarding procedures, we, as a parish volunteer team must be seen to be compliant and willing to engage with every means to ensure our church and parish is a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Volunteers who are engaged in parish work in any capacity are kindly requested to attend one of the sessions in either Sept or Oct. Please enter your name and details in the parish office. Your personal details will be kept in a secure location and will only be used within the parish for volunteer activities.
